My name is Onix Marrero.
After 24 years as an Art Director/Graphic Designer, with experience in all areas of design and production, I will start my MS in Human Factors in Information Design at Bentley University in January 2023. Although I will go to school full-time, I am still interested in summer internships for 2023, as well as other networking opportunities in the Boston area.
For the last eight years, I have been a Senior Art Director at Morgan Stanley Investment Management (formerly Eaton Vance) in Boston, MA. Before that, I was a multimedia designer at MFS. Even though most of my recent work is for financial services, I have worked for clients as varied as the Boston LGBT Film Festival, anti-drug campaigns, hair care companies, vitamin manufacturers, and churches.
Throughout the years I’ve done branding, publishing, advertising and marketing for print, web and broadcast. I am very well versed in all the tools of the trade: Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, After Effects and Animate CC, HTML, CSS, Sketch, inVision, Figma – you name it! In 2018, I completed the User Experience Design Immersive course at General Assembly, which motivated me to continue further studies in 2023.
I combine sophistication and know-how to deliver distinctive, strategic and effective designs.
I also carried Cher’s luggage. And studied at MIT for a year. And was a chemical engineer once.
